NICOLA SAMER

Nicola is about to direct the UK premiere of Brendan Cowell's RUBEN GUTHRIE (New Wimbledon Studio) and she is currently Associate Director on Graham Linehan's THE LADYKILLERS (Liverpool Playhouse & West End).

Nicola Samer gained her MA Theatre Directing in London (Middlesex University), which included her training at the Russian Academy of Dramatic Arts, Moscow. Additional training includes the 2010 Lincoln Centre Theatre Directors' Lab (New York), Directing at NIDA (Sydney) and working on attachment with the Royal Opera House (London).

She directed IronBark's THEATRE ASHES at 2011 Latitude Festival, which included the premier of 6 new plays by Melissa Bubnic, Ben Ellis, Kenneth Emson, John AD Fraser, Tanika Gupta & Joel Horwood.

Directing includes: Corinne Salisbury's MAMAN & Sophie Reynold's THE EDGE for Theatre503, Kenneth Emson's LOYALTY CARDS and Daniel Kanaber's BIGGER THAN ME for Eyebrow Productions. (Theatre Lab), Jay Tayloe's CAN I GET A KISS FROM DAISY? (Old Vic, reading); Strindberg's MISS JULIE (Sterts Theatre, Cornwall); Justin Martin's SCENES OF A MASSACRE (Custard Factory, Birmingham); Albert Atta's THE LAST DAYS OF EMPIRE (Pleasance, London) and Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST (New Theatre, Sydney).
